The College Prefect Investiture Ceremony is recognized as a red-letter day in the school calendar. Induction ceremony of Junior and Senior prefects for the academic year 2020/2021 was held on 22nd September at the school main hall.
Around thirty students of primary section and forty eight students of middle and upper school attest their oaths as prefects with the presences of large gathering including Guest of Honor Rev. Fr. Nishantha Cooray, who is currently the Rector of the T.O.R. Scholisticate at Ampitiya. He is a former rector of Loyola College, Bopitiya.
In his speech, he advised the newly appointed prefects that having being appointed as a student leader is a privilege yet this opportunity is followed by boundless responsibly towards betterment of the college. He also mentioned the key aspects of an exemplary leader and how much it demands significant personality among others.
Finally, he warmly congratulated the new board of prefects to always be prudent and to be obedient in conducting.
Master Vishmitha Navodya and Miss. Peshala Jayamini succeeded in becoming the senior Head Prefects of Loyola College while Master Sanuka Sithviru and Miss. Ameesha Nanayakkara nominated as Junior Head prefects.
